Infrared (IR) View Port

ICI would like to introduce our Arc Protection Ports. These ports are infrared viewing windows used to assist with your electrical inspection needs. Our new windows provide a very simple and useful function: inspect electrical equipment under load without opening a panel! The result is a safer inspection, less time and money spent for the inspection and confidence in equipment.

The Department of Labor estimates an average of 9,600 serious electrical shock and burn injuries each year. They also estimate approximately one fatality per day due to electrocution.

Typically, a thermographer needs one or two electricians to pull panels to inspect electrical gear, or there's an electrician opening panels himself to perform the inspection. Now a thermographer only needs his infrared camera to perform an inspection with the new ICI AP Port. The AP Port is compatible with all infrared cameras on the market and is available with an open window for standard viewing or a germanium window to keep your cabinets completely sealed.

NFPA 70E

NFPA 70E addresses those electrical safety requirements for employees workplaces that are necessary for practical safeguarding of employees in their pursuit of gainful employment. This standard covers the following:

1. Electrical conductors and equipment installed within or on buildings or other structors, including mobile homes and recreational vehicles, and other premises such as yards, carnival, parking and other lots, and industrial substations.

2. Conductors that connect the installations to a supply of electricity.

3. Other outside conductors on the premises.
