Originally Texas Infrared (still DBA), Infrared Cameras, Inc. has been in business since March, 1995. ICI provides outstanding customer service, technical support, thermography training, and will work to find the correct thermal infrared solutions for your application. We have provided infrared equipment and thermography training to some of the largest Fortune 500 companies.
Our Corporate office is located in Southeast Texas at:
Yes, we currently offer three cameras for rental: ICI DuraCam 320, ToughCam Pro, and the ICI 7320. Rentals are on a first come first serve basis. We have partnered with First Pacific Funding to offer Lease-to-Own options for our thermal infrared camera systems.
The S-Series stands for “Scientific”, while the P-Series stands for “Professional”. The difference between the S-Series and P-Series is the video update rate or frames per second: S-Series cameras run at 9 Hz and P-Series cameras run at 50/60 Hz. Generally, the S-Series camera is for research and development where a high definition video output is not necessary, and it does NOT REQUIRE an export license. Unfortunately, the P-Series 50/60 Hz infrared cameras REQUIRE an export license.
The separation in price of these two cameras is small, however, there is a great difference in features and functions. The ToughCam holds up to 100 images, has no voice annotation, and has only one temperature measurement spot; whereas, the ToughCam Pro can hold up to 1000 images, has voice annotation, has multiple temperature measurement spots, and has a wider field of view. Generally speaking, both thermal imaging cameras are great tools; however, the Pro series is for professionals seeking the most of their cameras.
The FDA only gives clearance to thermal cameras, and, as of 2009, ICI is only one of two infrared camera manufacturers that has FDA 510K clearance. This clearance applies to our our S and P series infrared cameras, and we have specifically built the ICI ETI 7320 P for medical use. Our devices are intended for use as an adjunct to other clinical procedures.
At ICI we recommend that you have your infrared camera calibrated once yearly. Calibration is a process of ensuring that the temperature measurement of your infrared camera stays within the industry standard of ± 2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater. Uncalibrated cameras may produce highly inaccurate temperature readings resulting in a misdiagnosis. Infrared Cameras, Inc. has full facilities for the calibration of all ICI infrared thermal imaging cameras and products.
At Infrared Cameras, Inc. we are always up for a challenge. Our highly trained staff of thermographers are always willing to work with researchers to help them determine the best possible thermal imaging solution for their particular application.
